I know this article features an unplanned home birth, but I actually do not feel like Ezra's birth was traumatic. I am so grateful for his birth experience (and much preferred it to Isaac's more conventional birth experience).
However, I resonated with this quote:
"If we don’t deal with our trauma, our trauma begins to deal with us. If we don’t allow ourselves to feel our feelings, they have a habit of peeking around the corners of our lives, breaking in at the most inopportune moments."
It has taken me a looonnnggg time to start to feel comfortable with the idea of processing (let alone sharing!) various traumatic experiences, but I know how true it is that such experiences do need dealt with.
