Every year, for many years now, Evangelical Reformed Church has had three summer picnics, each with it's own attraction. June is the much anticipated Family Olympics, July the Men's Pie Baking Contest and August the Talent Show. And this year was Seth's first year to participate in the Men's Pie Baking Contest. He decided to make a caramel apple pie, in reference to Elijah's showdown on top of Mount Caramel in 1 Kings 18.

Seth didn't end up winning (though he came close to winning The Most Original Pie category), but his pie was delicious.
